Billows of Fun
A visit to Rhode Island offers opportunities for outdoor adventures or visits to museums and lighthouses. It promises plenty of sunshine, glimpses of stunning ocean sunsets, and views of sailing ships. Heading to the Seashore
Thursday at convention is a special chance to experience Rhode Island together. We’ve planned a day trip to see the mansions of Newport, complete with a visit to the Breakers, the Vanderbilt’s summer home, or you can spend the day creating your own adventure.
Catching Some Ideas
We’ve scheduled in multiple opportunities for attendees to gather, share ideas and brainstorm solutions. Create connections that you can take home and use all year round. For a start, check the schedule in the convention booklet for a special MeetUp with the President! It will be a time to share what’s working at your club, discuss challenges and offer ideas on how Multiples of America can better partner with you in your work. Saturday’s luncheon also comes with shareshops and an opportunity to hear from some of our superstar clubs about what’s working in growing membership, gaining volunteers, and planning fundraisers.
Leaning into Learning
An array of Friday afternoon workshops brings opportunities for learning ways to create quick gourmet-style meals at home, to learn about keeping you and your family safe from cybercrime, to create a special memento you can take back home, or to join in a discussion of a good book. Plus, our keynote speaker, Kellie Bahright, also promises both insight and inspiration for your everyday journey Check the convention booklet to find out more.
Swells of Friendship
Whether this is your first or 30th convention, you’ll find a friend (or two or three). Perhaps you’ll find some fellow parents boarding the bus for the Newport tour or gathering to play Friday night’s music bingo. Maybe you’ll chat with leaders from other clubs at the President’s MeetUp or the Saturday shareshops. Or you’ll decide to join in our Thursday night sing-along or dance the night away at the Saturday night party. Whatever your plans, you’ll connect with friends old and new from across the country.
Surfing to Win
Raffles, raffles, and more raffles, and a silent auction filled with “Treasures Galore!” will offer a great way to pair some fun with supporting the organization. All give the chance to get some great mementos to take back home!
Coasting through Business
Above all, we gather to do the business of our organization. We review the work of the past term, elect new officers for our board of directors, consider the proposed budget and bylaw amendment, and share how we can move our mission forward.
