It’s Multiple Birth Awareness Month!

Time to roll out the red carpet of education and information and blanket our communities with knowledge about multiple birth!  Your club members have the opportunity to share their experiences about raising multiple birth children with educators, medical professionals and others in the community.  This year’s theme is “Connecting Multiple Birth Families”. How do you connect with multiple birth families in your communities?

Multiples of America connects multiple birth families with local clubs, research and education to support multiple birth families across the country.

What are you doing to make an impact within the community?  Please share your events with Multiples of America as you connect with other multiple birth families and your communities! #MultipleBirthAwareness2019 #supportmultiplied

School Placement of Multiples Survey

ICOMBO is conducting a survey about School Placement of Multiples. The survey is available in English, French and Spanish. This is being done in response to our members all over the world saying that they often aren’t being consulted when school placement for their multiple birth children is decided. The survey will be open until March 31st 2019.The results will be presented at the next ISTS Congress in Hong Kong in November 2019. The results will also be made available to multiple birth groups all over the world. The hope is that this information will help foster change in school policies about placement of multiples in school.English version – https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/PZWTD6HSpanish version – https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/6KST6WLFrench version – https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/6DD6LKP Right now the United States is second in the line of participants of this survey!  Let’s see if we can knock out the first place for the USA!

At the moment, there is nothing on the Congress website about accommodation for Congress. I havecontacted the organisers to get further information. I will pass it on when I hear something.I have heard from a few of our members who have confirmed that they will be attending, and will also bestaying in Hong Kong for a few days after Congress for some sightseeing.

My husband John will betravelling with me, and we also plan to stay until about 3rd or 4th December. Perhaps we will do somesightseeing together ??? I expect that we will be staying at a hotel near the congress venue while thecongress is on, and I will probably transfer to another hotel closer to the tourist areas of Hong Kong forthe last few days.

I will forward more details to any people who are interested, just let me know.
